Jesse Joshua Watson One of the "next generation" of up and coming author/illustrators in the Watson family, Jesse has been quite busy this past year. Recently honored by both the Society of Illustrators and the International Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, Jesse went on to do art for numerous books published in 2006. Among them is the Ziggy and the Black Dinosaurs series, These Things I Wish by famed cowboy poet Lee Pitts and the Hank Zipzer series by Henry (the Fonz) Winkler and Lin Oliver.

Pierr Morgan has loved books her entire life and chose her career while in the sixth grade! A professional artist for more than 30 years. she graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena CA. Pierr has illustrated 16 children's books along with numerous magazine articles. Working primarily in gouache on paper, she often utilizes ink or marker to further highlight the imagery. Pierr's work has been selected for inclusion in the esteemed U of Minnesota Kerlan Children's Literature Collection. Originals on display are from six different books, Cornfield Hide and Seek, Snow Pumpkin, Sometimes Moon, along with the award winning books, The Sqiggle, Someone Says and Cool Time Song which is Pierr Morgan’s 16th book.

John Nez - A Seattle artist, John has been dividing his time between illustration work and painting landscapes. After college, John studied at The Parsons School of Design in NYC with many great illustrators including Maurice Sendak. Since then, John has illustrated over 50 books including his newest work which he both authored and illustrated. entitled One Smart Cookie. It’s a tale of the ultra smart family pet that eventually teaches the other family members some great lessons in life.

Max Grover is a widely collected Fountainhead Gallery artist known for his bold, bright colors and chunky primitive style. His art often evokes childhood memories. A self-taught artist, Max began illustrating Childern's Books in 1992. Several of his 11 books have won Parents' Choice Awards. Max shares his craft through adult workshops and visiting area schools . His newest book, I Wish I Were a Pilot is filled with classic Max Grover imagery, focusing on the many ways people can travel. |
