GERSHWIN & TANGO WITH A FRENCH TWIST April 28th at 6 pm

Get ready to be transported to the exciting world of jazz & tango — with a sprinkle of French sensitivity — re-imagined by American masters. We are happy and proud to welcome again Seattle Symphony violinist, Mikhail Shmidt and Oana Rusu Tomai, pianist and Artistic Director, Fountainhead Presents Classical Series, and guest performer, Seattle Symphony Chamber Series.

We will enjoy Gershwin's stirring "Porgy and Bess,” Previn's "Tango Song and Dance” (a moving love letter dedicated to violin virtuoso Anne Sophie Mutter), vivid tangos transcribed by Jascha Heifetz and the unforgettable sounds of Beau Soir by Debussy. The concert is performed in the company of exquisite contemporary paintings in the French Impressionist tradition by renowned impressionist artist, Valerie Collymore. Join us for a glass of wine, appetizers, and lively conversation at a reception following the performance. All tickets are for adjacent seats, sit where you like! See you soon!
