Stacy Milrany is a Seattle-based, multimedia artist whose style has often been described has offbeat, insightful, unvarnished, contemporary, and fun.

Originally from Portland, OR— Milrany received a BA in Journalism from the University of Oregon. And later, an MS in Mass Communication from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Her background in advertising is often reflected in her imagery and works related to consumerism and mass consumption. 

While primarily self-taught, she’s also trained with artists from institutions including: Berkeley (San Francisco, CA),  Pratt Fine Arts Center (Seattle, WA), Gage Academy of Art (Seattle, WA), Sitka Center for Art & Ecology (Cascade Head, OR), Portland State University  (Portland, OR) University of Oregon (Eugene, OR) 

Milrany says she hopes that her work “sheds light on the beauty of imperfection in ourselves, in each other, and in the world. And that maybe it can remind us that we are all living this absurd, beautiful life together as one handsome herd of crackpots.”
